1.Digital Gold Is Not a Regulated Financial Product

Buying gold or silver on Ticgetz is a purchase of a commodity. It is not overseen by RBI, SEBI, IRDAI or PFRDA, and it is not a security, a commodity derivative, a mutual fund, a deposit or an insurance product.

SEBI directed its registered intermediaries in August 2021 to stop dealing in digital gold. On 8 November 2025 it cautioned the public that digital gold is neither notified as a security nor regulated as a commodity derivative, and that the investor-protection mechanisms for regulated securities do not extend to it. Ticgetz is not a SEBI-registered intermediary.

No deposit insurance or investor-protection fund covers your holding. If something goes wrong, your remedies are under contract and consumer law, not through a financial regulator.

2.Price Risk

Gold and silver prices move with international markets, the rupee, duties, taxes and demand, and they can fall. Your holding can be worth less than you paid, including when you want to sell. Past prices, charts and estimates say nothing about future prices. There is no assured return, interest or dividend.

3.The Buy-Sell Spread and GST

The buy rate is higher than the sell rate at any moment, and 3% GST is added when you buy. If you sell straight after buying, you will get back less than you paid even if the market has not moved.

4.Counterparty and Custody Risk

Your metal is sold, held and shipped by Augmont Goldtech Private Limited and stored with its vault custodian, currently Sequel Logistics. You depend on that chain. If Augmont, its custodian or Ticgetz fails or cannot operate, getting your metal back may depend on the arrangements between them and on insolvency law, and may take time or be incomplete. Neither Ticgetz nor any government guarantees it.

Insurance covers the stored metal against loss and damage. It does not cover price falls, and it is not a guarantee that any company stays solvent.

5.Liquidity and Operational Risk

Buying and selling depend on live rates and on our partners' systems. During market volatility, closures, technical failures or a regulatory direction, rates may be unavailable and you may be unable to transact for a period. Digital gold also has no single regulated framework, so its rules could change in ways that affect the product.

6.Physical Redemption

Converting your holding into coins, bars or articles attracts secure shipping charges and is possible only for the items and weights available at the time. A balance too small for the smallest item can be sold, but not delivered.

7.Limits on Gifted Metal

Metal you receive as a gift, reward or transfer cannot be sold until your account has made a qualifying paid purchase, as described in our Terms of Use.

8.Tax

Gains on sale may be taxable, and the treatment can change with the law and with how long you hold the metal. Please take advice from a qualified professional.

9.Account Security

Anyone with access to your phone, one-time passwords or MPIN may be able to act on your account. Never share them. Ticgetz will never ask for your OTP, MPIN, UPI PIN or card details.

10.No Advice

Nothing on Ticgetz is investment, tax or financial advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell. Rate charts, calculators, guides and notifications are information only. Buy only what you can afford to hold through a fall in price.
