Turning grams into a coin you can hold

The strongest argument for digital gold is that you can stop it being digital whenever you like. Redemption is the door: you pick a coin, we deduct the grams, a refinery mints and ships it. Here is the whole process, including the parts that cost money.

What redemption is

Your holding is already physical metal — it is simply in a vault in bulk form. Redeeming asks the refiner to take some of your grams out of that pool and mint them into a specific product: a 1g coin, a 5g coin, a 10g bar. The metal was yours before and after; what you are paying for is the fabrication and the courier.

What it costs

  • Minting charges, which depend on the product. Small coins cost proportionally more to make than large ones — a 1g coin carries far more fabrication cost per gram than a 10g bar.
  • Delivery, insured, to the address on your order.
  • GST on the making charge. The metal itself was taxed when you bought it; the fabrication is a fresh supply.

The sequence

  1. 1

    Pick the product

Coins and bars in standard weights, each certified 24K 999.9 with a tamper-evident assay card.

  2. 2

    Confirm the address

Delivery is insured and tracked, and the consignment is addressed to the account holder.

  3. 3

    Grams are deducted

The metal leaves your vault holding when the order is confirmed, not when it ships.

  4. 4

    Mint and dispatch

Production takes a few working days; you get a tracking link when it moves, and updates by email until it arrives.

A redeemed coin ships sealed in an assay card. Breaking the seal does not destroy the gold, but it does cost you the easiest proof of purity at resale.

What changes after delivery

Three things, and they are worth knowing before you order. You are now the custodian, so storage and its risks are yours. You cannot sell it back to the platform at the tap of a button — you would sell physical gold to a buyer who will assay it. And it is no longer divisible: a 10g coin is a 10g decision.

Questions people ask

Can I convert digital gold into physical gold?

Yes. That is what redemption is: your vaulted grams are minted into a certified coin or bar and delivered to you. You pay the minting charge and insured delivery; the metal is already yours.

What is the smallest coin I can redeem?

Products start at 1 gram. Smaller coins cost more per gram to mint, so redeeming in slightly larger sizes is usually better value.

Can I sell a redeemed coin back to Ticgetz?

No. Once metal leaves the vault it is physical gold, and selling it means selling it as physical gold to a buyer who will verify it. If you might want to sell, keep the holding in the vault.

How long does delivery take?

Minting takes a few working days, and dispatch is tracked and insured from there. You get updates by email at each step.
